Jefferson Momument

Jessica has got my patriotism flowing lately. So, I'd thought
I'd put up some pictures of the Jefferson Momument. I'm patriotic
and I like history so , I loved everything in DC. But this momument had a very reverent feeling inside it. I felt like I was in a temple. Sometimes I'm a little dramatic, but then Jason said he felt the same way--so I know it wasn't just me. We both were surprised that some of the quotes engraved on the walls mentioning 'God' are even still allowed to be there. But they are still there, and everyone that came into the momument was very quiet and respectful.

Megan's baptism was small but special. We went out for dinner later that night and of course we were happy to see Grandma.

The Wanderer

Corey is the wanderer. We put him to bed and then find him squished in with someone else later. He crashed Megan's bed on this particular night.

Megan looked so cute for church this day. We curled her hair with curlers and she put together this fabulous ensemble.

The White House

Grandma always tells us to take a trip so she can babysit. So we went to D.C. while she was here because Jason had a short business trip there anyway. It was fun. We only had a day so we just walked from the Washington monument, to the Jefferson momument, to the Lincoln momument, to the White House to the Capital and by then my feet were killing me. We did walk around the Library of Congress for awhile--that was cool.

This is Corey's REAL shark jaw. He bought it off ebay
with his own money. It didn't belong to a great white but he loves it.
He puts it under his 'scientific light' and studies it for a long
time.
The bottom picture is an old one but it cracks me up.
Maybe laundry baskets are better than recliners.

Is it just me, or does Napolean look like he might have been
kind of handsome? He looks like a goober in all the paintings.
