Our Pet Spiders

These are the two pet spiders we had for about 2 weeks. The first one is named Prince Charming because he was the bigger one. He had a very cool looking web. He would hang smack dabb in the middle of his web waiting for food. Then sometimes he would hide down on a bag of soil at the bottom. That's my finger next to him so you can see how big he is. The last picture is Cinderella. She hung just outside our kitchen window so we watched her alot. (Had she been on the inside we would have squashed her--actually, no, she was too big-- she would have left a gooey mess. So I don't know what we would have done.) Anyway, we watched her catch lots of bugs and suck them dead. It was a little eery. But it was cool. My finger in that picture is about 3 inches closer to the camera than the spider because I'm on the opposite side of the window. So she was a little bigger than she looks. Sadly, they both dissappeared last week and left their webs abandoned. Oh well. We thought they were pretty cool.
